Leisure: Thermoforming line for the production of composite kayaks
In the leisure industry, PINETTE PEI is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of thermoforming lines for the production of composite kayaks.
There are 2 types of material used to build a kayak: plastics and composites (glass fibers, carbon fibers and Kevlar).
Different materials for different kayaking styles
Plastic is the material used for all kayaking activities except sea kayaking and touring kayaking. For the latter two, which require high-performance kayaks, a composite material reinforced with glass fibers, carbon or Kevlar is used. PINETTE PEI supplies thermoforming lines for this second type of kayak.
AUTOMATED THERMOFORMING LINE FOR COMPOSITE KAYAKS
The use of quality components to manufacture this automatic production line guarantees reliability, efficiency and high performance. The thermoforming line, which uses Tween Sheet Blow Molding (TSBM) technology, breaks down as follows:
- Sheet loading system (max. dimensions 1850 x 5020 mm)
- Preparation table
- Manipulator (pick-and-place system)
- Transfer cart and infrared oven
- Compression press for forming (2500 kN capacity)
- Automatic unloading table
