Fast-Form demonstrator at ICWAM 2019
Fast-Form is demonstrator project for hybrid preform production. It creates preforms and sub preforms made of glass or carbon fibres. Combined with Fast-RTM, it can produce ready to use parts from 1 to 3m² in 2 min for the automotive industry and many others. The Fast Form platform will be available in 2019.
The consortium is led by IRT-M2P, Pinette PEI. devises the architecture. The partners: Arkema (binder definition), Chomarat (textile definition), Coriolis (local reinforcement and unidirectional tape laying sub preform), IRT-M2P (project leader and projected short fibre), Peugeot PSA, Renault SA, and Faurecia (prototype part definition and dimensioning), Compose (mould and unloading tool), ESI and IRT-M2P (draping calculation and simulation), and Owens Corning (fibre definition) brought their expertise for this project which started in 2015.
The conference Fast-Form: an industrial mean for composite part manufacturing will be given by Pinette PEI. and IRT-M2P at ICWAM, on 6th June 2019 at 15:10 in Room 3 as part of a conference series on innovative processing in composite. See the conference program.
Pinette PEI will be present at the 2nd International Congress on Welding, Additive Manufacturing and associated non-destructive testing (ICWAM) which will take place from 5th to 7th June 2019, in Metz, France. It is organised by the Institut de Soudure. More information on ICWAM.
